About Snake Arcade Game

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Snake Arcade Game is a small, independently run site for playing the classic snake arcade game in a browser. No account, no download, no queue in front of the game — open a page and play.

Why This Site Exists

The snake game is one of the oldest and simplest ideas in arcade gaming, and it is also one of the easiest to ruin. Plenty of pages that host it open with an app-install prompt, hide the board under three ad layers, or require an account before the first round. Others load a heavy framework to draw a 21×15 grid of squares.

This site was built as the opposite of that. One game per page, in the browser, starting on your first keypress. If something here gets in the way of playing, that is a bug and it should be reported rather than tolerated.

How the Games Are Built

What Is on the Site

Three pages, each doing one job:

Page What it covers
Snake Arcade Game The game itself, plus how to play it, what the classic rules are, and what playing online involves.
Nokia Snake The same game rendered in monochrome pixel style, together with the history of the version that shipped on Nokia handsets.
Snake Unblocked Why game pages get blocked on school and work networks, and how to play without installing anything.

Also on the site: this page, the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, and a Contact page.

What This Site Deliberately Does Not Do

How the Site Is Funded

The games are free and there is nothing to buy. Hosting is paid for by advertising served by third-party networks, which is why you will see ads around the game rather than across it. Ad placement is deliberately kept clear of the board and of the controls, and the first thing on every game page is the game.

Details of the cookies those networks use, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, are in the Privacy Policy.

Who Runs It and How to Reach Us

The site is built and maintained by one person in their spare time, which is also why replies are not instant and why features arrive one at a time rather than in quarterly releases. Bug reports, broken links and suggestions are all welcome — the Contact page has the address and explains what to include.
